Terms of
service.
These terms explain the rules for using the Leeds Martial Arts College and LMA Interclub website, registering a competitor, buying spectator tickets and attending an event.
Last updated: 29 August 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to the website and event-registration service operated by LP Promotions (Morley) Limited, using the Leeds Martial Arts College and LMA Interclub names. By using the website, submitting a registration or buying a ticket, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are registering a junior competitor or buying something for another person, you confirm that you have authority to provide their information and accept these terms on the relevant person’s behalf where appropriate.
2. What the service does
The website provides information about LMA Interclub competitions, accepts competitor registrations and spectator-ticket orders, takes payment through a third-party checkout, and sends operational confirmations. It also gives authorised organisers tools to manage entries, payments, match-up information and event administration.
Registration does not guarantee a particular opponent, bout time, discipline, outcome or place on the final running order. Match-ups and event arrangements depend on safety, experience, weight, age, availability and the organiser’s assessment.
3. Registration and eligibility
- Provide complete, accurate and current information.
- Tell the organiser promptly if information changes or if a competitor’s health, training status or suitability changes before the event.
- Follow the event’s age, discipline, experience, conduct and equipment requirements.
- A parent or legal guardian must complete the required declarations for a junior competitor.
- The organiser may ask for clarification, decline an unsuitable entry or make a safer alternative arrangement.
By submitting a competitor entry, you confirm that the competitor is fit to participate, that the information supplied is accurate, and that you have read the event disclaimer and rules. You remain responsible for telling us about relevant injuries, conditions, accessibility needs or other information that may affect safe participation.
4. Payments, tickets and refunds
Prices are shown before checkout and are in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.
Unless the organiser confirms otherwise or the law requires a different result, event entry fees and spectator tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If the organiser changes, postpones or cancels an event, we will communicate the available arrangements and any refund rights that apply.
A registration or ticket order may remain pending until Stripe confirms payment. A confirmation email or organiser record is not proof that payment succeeded if Stripe has not confirmed it.
5. Participation, safety and conduct
Martial arts and contact sports carry inherent risks, including serious injury or death. You must follow the event rules, officials, coaches, safeguarding instructions and venue requirements. We may refuse participation or remove a person from the event for safety, medical, safeguarding or conduct reasons.
All interclub bouts are intended as controlled, no-decision contests focused on experience, learning and confidence. The format does not remove the risks of participation and does not amount to medical, coaching or legal advice. Obtain appropriate medical or professional advice before taking part if you are unsure whether participation is suitable.
6. Photos and event media
You may optionally upload a clear competitor photo to help authorised organisers identify you. The photo is stored privately for event administration and is not a public profile image.
The registration form separately asks for consent to use event photographs or video on Leeds Martial Arts websites, social media and event promotion. You can withdraw that consent for future use by contacting enquiries@mmaleeds.com, subject to the limits described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- submit false, misleading, offensive or unauthorised information;
- make a payment or registration fraudulently or for an improper purpose;
- attempt to access the organiser area or another person’s information;
- upload malware or content that infringes another person’s rights;
- scrape, disrupt, overload or interfere with the website or its security; or
- use the service for unlawful, abusive or unsafe activity.
8. Our content and third-party services
The Leeds Martial Arts and LMA Interclub names, logos, artwork, copy, website design and other original materials belong to us or our licensors. You may use the website for personal event registration and information purposes, but may not copy, republish or commercially exploit those materials without permission.
Stripe, email delivery providers, hosting providers and other linked services are operated by third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for a third-party service’s separate availability or policies, although we will take reasonable steps to help with event orders that depend on them.
9. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the website and event information accurate and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every event detail will remain unchanged. We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of the service when needed to maintain safety, security or operations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
The event disclaimer and rules shown during registration also apply to participation. If there is a conflict, a mandatory legal right takes priority.
10. Suspension and changes
We may cancel, restrict or suspend a registration, ticket order or organiser access where information is inaccurate, payment is not confirmed, these terms are breached, or safety, legal or operational reasons require it.
We may update these terms when the service, event arrangements or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date. Continued use after an update means the updated terms apply to future use.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms and the use of the service are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
Questions about an order, these terms or the event should be sent to enquiries@mmaleeds.com.
